About Us
The East Valley Think Tank (EVTT) is a dynamic partnership of elementary, secondary, and post-secondary educational institutions promoting a "world-class" education for East Valley students in Kindergarten through Ph.D programs. EVTT was created in 1990, and is administered from the Center for Public Policy at Mesa Community College.
The East Valley Think Tank established the following goals that guide the consortium activities:
- EVTT will help enhance the East Valley's "world class" K-Ph.D public educational system in order to influence and shape education for the 21st century
- EVTT will develop a strong lobbying network for K-Ph.D edcuation in order to advocate for the learning needs of all studnets in the East Valley; and impact the economic development in the region
- EVTT will collaborate on projects that address common issues or problems that arise from EVTT member research or from external constituencies
- EVTT will communicate and coordinate resources (personnel, facilities, and funding) to achieve these purposes
This commitment to educational excellence is based on the continuing support of nine East Valley communities' existing businesses, elected officials, voters, parents, and students, who recognize that the public educational system is the "East Valley's most important economic development asset!"
